- Precision measuring: The pocket ruler features a wide slide square that locks tightly. The adjustable sliding mechanism with two thumb screws keeps the slide secure for accurate measurements on the work surface, making it reliable for precise cut placement in drafting and woodworking. - Thick and durable: Made from high quality aluminum alloy, this ruler is not flexible. It is 1 inch wide, 5/32 inch thick, with a red matte finish. Machining, lettering and finish are excellent for marking and scribing lines. - Clear scale: The scales are laser etched for easy reading and durability. Both inch and metric measurements are available, with permanent grooves that won’t fade. - Vertical scale and notch: The end vertical scale ranges from 1/4 to 3/4 inch to measure the height of a table router bit or a table saw blade. A small end notch holds a pencil in place while dragging the rule to create an alignment line. - Use scenarios: - Set router bit height quickly by aligning the vertical scale with the bit height and securing the slider. - Mark precise straight lines on a workpiece using the ruler edge and the end notch to guide the pencil. - Transfer layout measurements from plans to material for accurate cutting and marking.
