This accessory enhances stability when using a telephoto lens with a tripod. Install the lens and secure it to the tripod via the tripod socket located under the mount. Loosen the rotation lock knob to rotate the camera around the lens axis, allowing smooth switching between portrait and landscape orientations without adjusting the pan/tilt head. To attach the tripod ring: Turn the locking knob counterclockwise to align the arrow with the dot, then pull the knob outward to open the ring. Place the lens into the open ring, position as needed, then tighten the locking knob to secure. To remove, follow the reverse procedure. Once installed, loosening the tripod ring's locking knob allows rotation of the camera and lens for flexible horizontal and vertical positioning. The tripod ring is compatible with ring tripod heads.
