Sturdy steel construction provides long lasting durability. The oxidized surface of the set components resists rust and corrosion. Each piece has a smooth finish and remains easy to handle under high compression. Easy to use. Attach the coil spring compressor until it touches the center rod, then place the compressor into the coil spring. It compresses the spring during removal or installation and only releases when the spring is being installed. Coil springs store a large amount of energy, so handle with care. C clamp jaws. Crafted from strong 1.7 mm thick heat treated steel with a black oxide finish, they resist bending or deformation during compression. Both ends of the C clamp are aligned in a straight line to prevent slippage during use. Tool box storage. Includes 5 adapters for different spring diameters to fit the spring securely for safe and easy compression. The kit is securely packed in the box for easy storage and transport. Use scenarios. Ideal for automotive suspension work such as removing or installing coil springs on cars, trucks, or vans; maintenance of motorcycle or ATV suspension; and replacement of springs in garden or lawn equipment.
