READY TO USE: This extremely sturdy flint proves to be a real multifunctional tool for bushcraft and survival. In addition to the flint stick, it has a compass, ruler, map rangefinder, saw, bottle opener (at the same time an Allen key), and the box can be used as an emergency whistle. Includes a 70 cm long chain. Flint length: 6 cm. Diameter: 7 mm. HOW IT WORKS: Roll up a tissue or another highly flammable material of your choice. Using the serrated end of the ruler, carefully scrape some magnesium shavings from the magnesium stick on top of the tissue. Hold the magnesium ignition steel close to the handkerchief and slide the ruler over the steel several times quickly and forcefully, like lighting a match. ECONOMICAL: With the ignition steel lighter, you can light up to 10,000 fires. IMPORTANT: Before first use, scrape off the black protective layer on the magnesium stick. When the strip turns silver-grey, it is ready to start a fire with a lighter. EXPERIENCE ADVENTURE: Starting a fire with flint ("flint") is not always child's play. It is not comparable to matches or lighters. It is and will remain a challenge, an adventure. You will gain more and more skills, experience and achievements.
