This locator is compatible with both Android and Apple iOS devices. Is there a distance limit? There are no distance restrictions, and the device is usable worldwide as long as Apple devices are within 10-50 meters. Positioning is achieved when nearby Apple devices detect the signal. Is it real-time? When Apple devices are in proximity, near real-time positioning can be achieved. The more Apple devices nearby, the more accurate the location data becomes. If no Apple devices are present, positioning will not occur until one comes within range, with location updates typically occurring every 5 to 15 minutes. How does it work? The device emits a secure Bluetooth signal every two seconds. Nearby Apple devices (such as iPhones, iPads, or Mac computers) detect this signal and securely upload the information to Apple’s iCloud service to generate location data. Only the owner of the locator can access this information. The greater the number of nearby Apple devices, the faster and more accurate the location updates will be. Where is it best used? It is most effective in urban or high-traffic areas where many people use Apple devices. Remote or sparsely populated areas with few Apple users may not be suitable.
