Instruction:
1. Use battery or regulated power supply as the power source. Avoid using switch-mode power supplies without filters, as they may cause interference.
2. Connect an FM antenna to the FM_ANT port for better signal reception. A 75cm telescopic antenna is recommended.
3. This module has a 3Wx2 channels audio power amplifier and can be connected to a speaker (4Ω/3W speaker recommended). When earphones are plugged in, the module will automatically switch to the earphone channel and close the speaker channel.
4. Rotate the VOL encoder to adjust the volume, and the LCD will display the volume value.
5. Rotate the FRE encoder to adjust the receiving frequency, and the LCD will display the real-time frequency.
6. Press the VOL encoder to mute/unmute.
7. Press and hold the FRE encoder to turn on/off the automatic noise reduction function. The LCD will indicate whether it's ON or OFF.
8. The automatic noise reduction threshold can be adjusted when the function is turned on. Press the FRE encoder to enter the threshold adjustment interface, with a range from 0 to 20. A higher threshold will mute weaker signals more easily.
9. The module has a TTL voltage level serial port control interface. If you need to communicate with the module using a TTL serial port, connect UART_RX, UART_TX, and GND. A RS323 to TTL voltage level adapter or a USB to TTL voltage level serial module is needed when communicating with a computer. Please note that serial port control requires certain professional knowledge and skills.
10. Press and hold the VOL encoder while powering on to set the campus broadcast. "C1" indicates the campus broadcast is open, and "C0" indicates it's closed. Restart the module to enable the setting (default "C0"). Press and hold the FRE encoder while powering on to set the backlight. "B1" indicates the backlight will be turned on always, and "B0" indicates it will be turned on for 20 seconds then off. Restart the module to enable the setting (default "B0").
11. The stereo/mono terminals are used to set the receiving mode. Connecting them enables single-channel receiving mode, while disconnecting them enables stereo receiving mode. When there is a weak signal and too much base noise, switching to single-channel mode can improve the SNR of the radio and make the sound clearer.
