It provides 16 analog input channels (C0C15) and one common analog output (DIG). Channel selection is controlled via four address pins (S0S3).The device supports both digital and analog signals, with signal voltages not exceeding VCC. The internal switches are bidirectional, operate from ground to VCC, exhibit low on-resistance and low off-leakage, and use break-before-make switching to prevent crosstalk. The board includes access to the enable pin; when set high, it disconnects the common pin and turns all switches off.To control the multiplexer, apply a binary address to the S0S3 pins using digital outputs. This allows up to 16 sensors or devices to be connected using only 5 microcontroller pins (4 for addressing, 1 for common I/O).Since the multiplexer handles digital signals, it can route TTL-level serial data. For example, connect the TX lines of 16 devices to the module and route any single one to your microcontroller's RX pin by selecting the appropriate channel.
