This USB to TTL UART serial converter cable is designed for microcontroller programming and firmware updates. It features the PL2303HX/TA chip for stable and reliable serial communication. Supporting both 3.3V and 5.0V output (selectable before use), it powers microcontrollers as needed. The cable length is 1 meter, with a black plastic housing. Wiring is straightforward: Red (VCC), Black (GND), Green (TXD), White (RXD). Simply connect TX to the target board's RX, RX to TX, and GND to GND. No MAX232 converter required. For typical flashing, only RX, TX, and GND are needed—VCC may not be necessary. Compatible with serial debugging tools, HyperTerminal, satellite receiver upgrades, and various microcontroller boards. Always set the voltage before connecting to a computer. Check the target device pinout to avoid incorrect wiring (e.g., never connect RX/TX to VCC pins, which may carry up to 14V). The package includes 1 download cable. Color may vary slightly due to lighting; measurement tolerance is ±1–3 cm.
