Proferrin ES Heme Iron Polypeptide is a naturally occurring iron source in tablet form. This clinically proven iron supplement contains heme iron polypeptide, which is necessary for red blood cell formation. Each tablet provides 12 mg of elemental iron as heme iron polypeptide (HIP). Heme iron is the form of iron most readily absorbed by humans, and Proferrin is a non-ionic iron supplement.
