Description

Black wire connects directly to the outboard's grounding system. Emergency kill switch with lanyard for all outboard motors. Designed for safety, many older outboard models lack automatic engine cutoff protection in the event of a fall from the boat. This essential device features a lanyard that attaches to your wrist or clothing and will shut off the engine if you accidentally fall overboard. The switch is normally open circuit and closes when activated by pulling the lanyard. It can also be manually activated by pressing the red button. If there is no spark in your outboard's ignition system, the existing kill switch may be faulty or stuck in the off position and require replacement.
