Before you color, make sure you have an old towel to protect your clothing and household surfaces, and a clock for timing. Read the in-box instructions to make sure you are familiar with Root-Touch Up application. Then you're ready to begin. Mix: Put on gloves. Place the plastic mixing tray on a flat, stable surface where it won't tip over. A bathroom vanity works great Pour the Color Activating Lotion (the bottle labeled "2") into the mixing tray, then add the Permanent Color Creme (the tube labeled "1"). Use the Precision Color Brush to mix the contents together until the color is completely blended. Apply: Apply color to roots. Make sure your hair is dry, then gently brush or comb it into your preferred style. Use the Precision Color Brush to apply color to your most visible roots at the hairline around the face, part and temples. Be sure to saturate your most visible roots with color. Once your done applying the color, set your timer for 10 minutes. Tip: If your grays are really stubborn, leave color on for up to 15 minutes. Make sure to cover roots at hairline, part and temples. Rinse & Go: When your 10 minutes are up, rinse hair with warm water until the water runs clear. Style as usual. There's no need to shampoo.
